Self Care

Hey Lady!

I know you 😉

  • You love to get involved as much as you can.
  • You feel the desire to commit to everything you can, because you don’t want to miss out on an opportunity help, and feel like you have some skills to offer the world.
  • ‘No’ is a word you have a hard time saying, not because you don’t know HOW to say it, but because you don’t WANT to turn people down.
  • You take the world on, hoping to help as many people as you can, because you have a servant’s heart.

You have amazing intentions, and are so giving and caring for others. You are there for your family, your friends know that they can count on you for anything and everything. You pride yourself on that, because real and true friends are sometimes hard to come by these days. You have a great desire to be a real and true friend.

While reading this, you may even be thinking, “Yes, that is me. What is wrong with that? I like who I am, and how I like to help people.”

Don’t get me wrong, there isn’t a problem with begin there for others, quite the opposite. The problem lies in that there is one, important person that you are often NOT there for.

YOU.

When was the last time you did something that brightened your day (no, helping others doesn’t count for this question)?

When was the last time you created something or learned something new, just for you?

When was the last time you took a bath or long shower, lit a candle, read a fun book, or just relaxed?

  • You are worth it.
  • You are worth your own attention.
  • Meet your own needs first, so that you can better meet the needs of others.
  • Take care of yourself.
  • Love on yourself.
