My Mission

“Through a playful and whimsical approach to life, I challenge people physically, mentally, and emotionally – Empowering them to add more YEARS to their lives and more LIFE to those years.”

In deciding to start a blog, how does one go about choosing a name? It seems as if it is an important decision, one that will last at least for the life of the blog. You need it to be catchy, so that people can remember where to look for your wise words of wisdom (or maybe just random thoughts). You want it to reflect the content of the blog, so that followers can know what it is that you will be posting about. However, you also want it to reflect your attitude, style, and maybe even include a life motto. Hence, the induction of ThinkBelieveLive….

Think: Above all, one of the greatest gifts that God gave humans is the ability to think critically. Too often we neglect this gift. As a student of science, I strive to analyze anything and everything. I question everything. As thinking beings, we should not blindly accept anything, but instead should study and research facts presented, ask new questions to further our knowledge and understanding, and contemplate our stance on any given issue.

Believe: Given that I propose we question, investigate, and reflect, please do not mistake my advice as a recommendation to be a continual skeptic or as a proposal that we are unable to believe. Instead, our ability to think critically builds a foundation for us to believe with more strength and resolve. Only after we toil with questions and doubt, can we come out on the other end with answers and beliefs. The more we struggle and grapple with our thoughts, the more ingrained those beliefs will be, and the more likely it is that we will stand by those beliefs, even when shaken.

Live: It is not enough to live in a world of thoughts and beliefs. At some point, we must carry these abstract notions into the living world around us – in the form of actions. Life should be an active process, one by which we take the ideas we have developed about who we are and who we want to be, and to carry it forward into our daily living. We should not live passively, only to have life lived around us. Instead, take an active role in who you want to become – who you are. Do not live a passive life, live a passionate life.
